Working for a large Local Authority in the North West, your responsibilities will be as follows Management of a large team of IT professionals. Rationalisation of the supply chain of technology providers to the ICT Service, Assist colleagues in the architecture and design of infrastructure for planned enterprise applications to meet infrastructure availability, scalability and security needs. Applciations Support Manager required for a leading Manchester based NHS Trust. You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Applications Systems Team who provide management and support for designated applications within different departments throughout the Trust. The role is varied and will include:- Day to Day team management and co-ordination, including training, appraisals and disciplinary issues. Manage 3rd party suppliers, ensuring all SLA's are adhered to Project manage the implementation of new systems or new versions of software as required. Agree timescales and resources required for particular stages of development, implementation, support and co-ordination of project plans. Work closely with both users of the system and the suppliers, providing full specifications of requirements to obtain quotations and negotiate on price. Ensure all newly implemented systems/modules are handed over with required training to the appropriate teams where applicable. Lead, manage and action the resolution of incidents, problems and requests in own area in an efficient and professional manner, whilst conforming to Trust and departmental standards, service agreements, polices, procedures and working practices, seeking further advice and information within Informatics, when necessary. Liaise closely with Users to manage incidents, problems and service requests in own area to a satisfactory conclusion, providing full information and advice and investigating complaints in line with departmental policy. To apply for this position you must have excellent experience in a similar position demonstrating strong team management experience, Application & Systems Support understanding, 3rd Party Supplier Management and excellent Project Management skills (preferable Prince2).
