It is this growth that has meant our Client is now in need oflike-minded individuals who are ready for a challenge and want to share in our Clients success.Our Clients success was recognised in 2003 being voted as one of The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For 2003.Were confident that you will enjoy being part of our Clients business.As a result of the current incumbent being promoted to Operations Manager they are currently seeking a Transport Managerwith the character and knowledge to take responsibility for the day to day running of the transport function at theirdepot in Oxfordshire.Reporting into the Operations Manager and supported by a Transport Supervisor and Senior Drivers this is an outstandingopportunity to manage a smooth, efficient and customer focused operation because thats what our client is running atthis site.Primary responsibilities will be the management of the team of Drivers and Support Staff, effective route planning,vehicle maintenance, optimising productivity, driver assessment and compliance with the DOT requirements and Working TimeRegulations / Driving Hours etc.As in any successful management position, the development and motivation of the team around you is essential, as is theongoing strengthening of customer relationships.Skills:Demonstrating exceptional leadership, communication and motivational skills, you will plan and organize all transportactivities, manage all transport staff and forge good working relationships with customers.You should have two or three years transport supervisory / management experience, coupled with a sound grasp of currentpractice and transport legislation.
