Traffic Clerk/Transport Co-ordinatorEstablished in 1995, our client is one of the Regions leading Courier services. To build on the continued success of thebusiness, diversification into the contract distribution and home delivery markets has enabled manufactures and retailersalike to benefit from the high quality bespoke services they provide. With enormous success in this area, they areexpanding rapidly and will shortly move into a new 85,000 sq ft warehouse.As a result of this expansion they are now looking to recruit an experienced Traffic person to provide operationalexcellence, administration procedures and drive future growth. To act as support with regard to all Transport and Trafficissues on behalf of the Operations Manager and to assist in the management of fleet according to operational requirementsand company financial requirements. In addition to this you will also maintain, manage and control driver vehicle and subcontractor activity as well as leading the promotion and maintenance of a Health and Safety environment.Main Responsibilities:- Accurately allocate delivery crews and vehicles against routes- Communicate to drivers precise delivery instructions- Communicate with drivers throughout their delivery run- All related administrative duties to above and other duties as requested- Supervise loading of vehicles- Debrief driver on return to depot and supervise offloading of vehicles- Investigation of vehicle accidents/product damage- Ensure processes and procedures for Health and Safety are practiced- Accurate planning of vehicles for servicing, inspections, and defect/repair work- Promote open and honest communication- Demonstrate the attitude and culture required to establish an environment of customer serviceIf you have an understanding of the Transport Industry i.e. driver control and vehicle availability, as well as goodplanning and organisation skills and strong PC Skills, please send your CV in complete confidence to Jessica Mullinger,including details of your current remuneration and quoting reference number 374597.Hudson offers the services of an employment agency for permanent work and an employment business for temporary work.
