The role: Manage the day to day inspection and planned/corrective maintenance programmes so that all track assets acrossthe Jubilee Line meet the LUL & Company standards of availability, safety and quality within financial provision,enabling the scheduled train service to be delivered. Accountabilities: Hold Safety of Line responsibility on behalf ofthe Infrastructure Availability Manager this includes setting the maintenance priorities for the Jubilee Line trackteam. Accountable for the safety of customers, staff and contractors in the maintenance of track. Manage and direct thetechnical activities of supervisory, inspection and maintenance staff to ensure that all mandatory inspections andplanned maintenance are correctly carried out. Required skills & experience: A minimum of 5 years management experiencein an operational track maintenance environment, and has a thorough knowledge of track safety related railway operatingstandards. A detailed knowledge of track inspection procedures and track engineering standards. A minimum of 2 yearsexperience of developing and implementing planned maintenance work programmes within a track maintenance environment.Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all track maintenance techniques and a working knowledge of the plant, toolsand equipment used. An ONC in an engineering background or equivalent discipline. It would be preferable to already holdthe Protection Master and Inspected Asset (T001) Safety Critical Licenses and be working towards attaining Repaired andRenewed Asset (T002/3) Safety critical licenses. The successful candidate will be required to achieve NVQ Unit D32certification (or equivalent) enabling them to assess staff as competent within the LUL SCL framework. Thorough knowledgeof safety and employment legislation. Competent in MAXIMO and ORACLE. PLEASE NOTE: Permanent days shift work withoccasional night shifts as and when required. The 24/7 nature of business dictates that the post holder will need toundertake weekend and call working when required. Required to provide immediate telephone availability or personalpresence to deal with major incidents on or about the track.
