Description:

Required to test a wide range of high complexity Electro / mechanical assembliesin radar and navigation product ranges.Must be able to understand circuit / assembly drawings and fault find to component level onAnalogue, Digital,RF.Test mechanical assembly e.g. gearboxes / aerialsTest Electro / mechanical assembly e.g. Tx / displaysTest PC based systems e.g. ECDISMust be conversant with use of the following test equipmentOscilloscopes,DVM, Power measuring equips,Noise measuring equips.Colour analyser,Network analyser, EHT meterConversant with the use of following operations Crimping and solderingSolderingCarryout modifications - Mechanical, electronic,conventional, Surface MountAbility to assemble / test first off / prototype items, verifying operation & amending test specsCarryout inspection and assembly tasksAdministration knowledge e.g. M.I.R. / Defect notes / use of MAS etcKnowledge of latest manufacturing techniques e.g. 5S, Visual factory etcQualificationsHNC + Min 2 years experience in testing Electro / mechanical items in the electronic industry.Ability to interpret and understand circuit drawings and fault find to component level.Experience of soldering will also be required.An understanding of radar techniques and microprocessors would be an advantage.Knowledge of inspection procedures will be required, as self-inspection tasks have to be undertaken.
