Job Description:Meet internal and external deadlines on reminder and statement production, and collection of payments. Provide weekly andmonthly updates on the effectiveness of collections, problem accounts. Improve internal processes and controls in areasof responsibility.Requirements:Previous credit control experience:Proven organisational and time management skills are essential.Highly numerate and able to perform reconciliation's of accounts.Confident, assertive and polite telephone manner.Excellent communication skills.Experience of Word, Excel and Lotus Notes is essential.Ability to prioritise and work from ones own initiative.Work closely with other members of the immediate team or department as a whole.Knowledge of the travel industry and related financial procedures an advantage.Responsibilities:Follow the collection procedures for a designated group of customers.Update collection records and procedures.Recommend changes where appropriate to improve cash collection rates.Report on and resolve queries raised by those agents and direct customers, impose deadlines on any disputed items andfollow up as appropriate with the relevant departments.Contact relevant internal departments to resolve existing collection problems, this may include operational or commercialissues.Oversee and ensure the despatch of any relevant statements and invoices connected with the collections of your designatedarea.Take part in adhoc projects, as part of the immediate team or the wider department.Deal with incoming telephone calls to the Credit Control teams.Job Division: MainstreamLocation: Crawley
