The pooling principle involves the supply of awide range of products including wooden pallets within a semi automated modern manufacturing facility, ensuring that outhired products meet our Customer expectations. Would suit Ex Forces Junior NCO.Main duties include: To support the Shift Supervisor in effectively leading his team to achieve performance & quality standards. Supervise, lead & coach shift employees to achieve individual & team targets. Encourage effective working relationships with all members of the Plant staff. Assist in planning of overtime working & employee holidays. Ensuring potential safety hazards are eliminated and controlled Managing performance issues including sickness absence and disciplinary hearings Reviewing, challenging and improving all processes, procedures and practices within area of responsibility Allocating all resources to achieve best resultsKnowledge/experience/qualities required: You should have a thorough understanding of quality standards, & codes of conduct in the workplace Excellent communication, organisational and motivational skills The ability to identify and initiate change, the understanding of the requirements of a change culture To have worked within a fast moving, results driven environment Experience within a team working environmentWe are an equal opportunities employer.Working a 5 day shift pattern which may include nights, applications are invited for the posts of Team Leader atManchester Service Centre, reporting to the Shift Supervisor. We run a double day shift (6-2/2-10) and a permanent nightshift. However, we will also be running a three shift rotation at one site for a few months, so you could end up on anyshift on any pattern.Salary: GBP 18,500 + 20% shift allowance + performance bonus + pension
