You will strive for best valuefor money solutions, through execution of a standardised sourcing methodology and use of appropriate eSourcing tools.The Tactical Sourcing Specialist will analyse the sourcing request, establish category baseline, understand Clientrequirements and identify appropriate demand owners, then review previous sourcing opportunities within this categorydrawing upon wider knowledge where appropriate. Other duties will involve demand management, supplier analysis includingmarket research and industry trends and cost drivers. It will be the responsibility of the Tactical Sourcing Specialistto reach an agreed sourcing approach and build and evaluate the selection criteria. You will be tasked with conductingreviews and RFx. You'll build and execute negotiation plans, managing the process against desired outcomes. You'll alsomanage the contract process, preparing business cases to facilitate supplier selection, and obtaining customer sign off.Relationship management will be part of your role, both with clients and suppliers, as will managing contract compliance.QualificationsWe are seeking someone with a strong background in procurement, familiar with procurement terms and conditions and a goodknowledge of external contract negotiation. You should ideally be able to demonstrate specialism in 2 or three majorcategory areas, and experience in financial services is a distinct advantage. Your strong influencing and communicationskills will mean that you are able to develop and maintain good relationships and promote supplier performance. Anawareness of pricing models and commercial proposals, combined with good computer literacy (e.g. Word, Excel andPowerPoint) is required. Ideally you'll be educated to degree level, and a CIPS qualification or equivalent is highlydesirable.A competitive salary plus a range of attractive benefits is available.Location: London
