DUTIES:Reporting directly to the Principal Technology Leaders, duties include the following but others may be assigned:- Develops finite element models of the flexible pipe layers, end fitting components and ancillary equipment to predictstress, strain and displacement under thermal and mechanical loading. Conducts metallic layer and component service life analysis for dynamic risers. Structural design of ancillary equipment, end-fittings and pipe handling equipment. Perform any other duties as directed by the Principal Technology Leaders.QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering with a background in at least one of the following: NavalArchitecture/Subsea Engineering/Offshore Engineering/Mechanical-Civil EngineeringEXPERIENCE: At least 4 years experience in finite element analysis and structural analysis - preferably related to experience ofoffshore pipelines/structures. Experience of working in the field of stress analysis using experimental and finite element methods Experience in Finite Element Modelling of dynamic riser systems would be preferred Knowledge of structural mechanics Knowledge of buckling strength analysis of structural components Experience of using FEM as a structural/stress analysis tool Working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software package or similar, including non-linear, gap and time dependentanalyses IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
