Description:

After training the role will involve performing all duties connected with the decontamination, sterilisation anddistribution of surgical instruments and other equipment processed by the SSD.The post holder will also be required to assist with the distribution of other sterile items throughout the Hospital.A shift pattern is in operation to cover departmental operational hours (9am-5.30pm Pembury & 11am-7pm Kent & Sussex).There is also an on-call system in place for out of hours provision (when fully competent).The successful applicant should be motivated, able to communicate at all levels and able to work as part of a team.Attention to detail and commitment to health & safety is essential.
