Ref No: 587b Vacancy: Skills Tutor (Contract)Location: Maidstone, KentMinimum 2 days work per weekMain Purpose of Job: To deliver off-site programmes of Basic Skills in Adult Literacy and/or Numeracy to learners requiring initialassessment and diagnostics, subsequent support and testing at Entry Levels 1-3 and Levels 1-2. The post is mobile and will require regular travel to a variety of sites within the UK and abroad including Bosnia,Kosovo and Northern Ireland. To undertake professional work-based training related consultancy tasks as directed. Responsible for co-operative working with other members of the company as required to successfully deliver therequirements of the post/programme. Liaison with Directors, Managers, Operational Sites, Partners and Learners.Main Tasks of Job: Ensure that all relevant company programmes delivered by the post holder are operated within company policies,practices and procedures. Prepare and deliver a written monthly performance management report setting out details of all training deliveredagainst projected figures to the Operations Manager. Provide additional feedback to the Directors as required tofacilitate regular and open communications. Devise, develop, produce, update and manage all training media required to successfully deliver training programmes asdirected. Devise, organise and manage, where directed, the training support resources required to deliver a complete on-site oroff-site training programme. Deliver on-site and off-site training and consultancy programmes to learners based in the UK and overseas as directedby the Directors. Implement internal validation and customer feedback questionnaires as required to facilitate a continuous improvementprogramme. Provide feedback summaries to the Operations Director for each separate training programme delivered by thepost holder. Liaise with, and keep informed, all appropriate stakeholders regarding the progress of training or consultancyprogrammes being delivered. Ensure adherence to budgetary and financial procedures required by the appropriate company policies, practices andprocedures. Receive and facilitate all relevant internal and external visitors to the training programmes being delivered. Maintain and progress a continuous improvement plan for the primary training programmes being delivered to meet theneeds of the customer and the needs of the company. Attend meetings with appropriate organisations and individuals and report relevant findings, discussions, outcomes andrecommended action(s) in writing to the Operations Director within five working days of each meeting. Prepare briefing notes for company Directors attending meetings that directly impact upon the training programmes beingdelivered by the post holder. Maintain an ongoing personal development plan. Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as agreed with the companys Directors. To identify and report to the Operations Manager additional areas of business that the company may be able to developfrom existing courses or contacts. Be prepared to undertake other duties related to Basic Skills, Key Skills, NVQ and FMA training and consultancy orother duties appropriate to the post as agreed by the Training Contract Manager and the Operations Manager. Development, production, evaluation and use of learning resources for Basic Skillsprogrammes. The Level 4 Qualification for Teachers of Adult Basic Skills in Literacy and/or Numeracy (Desirable) IT Literate Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (Desirable)Salary: GBP 20-25 per hour (mileage allowance of 40ppm) |
