Description:

Providing an in-depth technical and application support problem resolution service to customers and partners in supportof the first line support activity. Identify and implement innovative work around solutions to enable the customer to initially overcome issues Specify, implement and test software changes as required Develop validation rules using a bespoke scripting language Utilisation and maintenance of development tools and processes, source code configuration management and compliancewith standards (coding and quality) Carry out project tasks as assigned, Contribute towards the maintenance and improvement of the support department processes and standardsThe successful candidate must have: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification Excellent analysis and communication skills with the appropriate commercial experience. 3+ years of commercial application software development experience or in a similar role to this. Background in C/C++ and Java on MS Windows environment Technical knowledge of MS windows, TCP/IP networking Experience with other languages, platform and experience or knowledge of PKI and associated hardware would be anadvantage Knowledge of the Rational Unified Process and tools would be a distinct advantage Able to communicate at all levels within the business Strong organisational and time management ability
