Our Client, a major offshore/onshore oil and gas subsea contractor who deals in various fields of engineering, are looking for Senior Project Engineers to work in their offices in Aberdeen. Type of work undertaken: Sub-sea construction involving flexible and rigid pipelay operations including design, procurement, manufacture and installation. Supplementary tasks include dsv based diving construction, diverless construction, trenching and backfilling, umbilical installation and the design manufacture and installation of subsea structures, manifolds and templates. Job Purpose: The position of Senior Project Engineer recognises performance and responsibilities above that of Project Engineer. It also recognises development potentional and facilitates succession planning towards the role of Assistant Project Manager. The role of the Senior Project Engineer to conduct: Design/concept & engineering of the project solutions. Oversee vessel mobilisation/demobilisation and offshore installation. Sub-contract and vendor management. Checks and approves and prepares procedures and ensures that the project conforms to appropriate safety standards and carries all necessary safety assessments. Contributes to the commercial management of the project and performs other related duties and assignments as required. Principally to assist the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager with the following: Safe and efficient delivery of projects to both client and company satisfaction. Ensure compliance with company operating and financial procedures within projects. Meet or exceed project profit targets (and where set stretch target). Input to both technical and commercial aspects of the tendering process. Interface between the Project Manager and the Project Team or parts thereof. Key Activities: Assist/supervise all technical and operational aspects of the project. Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety, security and environmental policies, procedures and reporting requirements. Become fully familiar with the key financial and contractual aspects of the project and relay same to construction crews. Assist with project delivery by ensuring project schedules are updated. Manage design and engineering services as required by the project. Ensure compliance with project procedures and prepare dive/work plans on vessels offshore. Assist with the management of internal and external third party interfaces. Ensure compliance within the project team with all business system procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting of company assets. Any other project or related activities as delegated by the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager. Qualifications & Experience Essential HNC or above in Engineering or Science based discipline and previous project engineering experience together with computer literacy. Preferred: Degree and Professional membership of recognised institute and subsea engineering experience. You should have a willingness to accept responsibility when delegated and an ability to work well within a team be a good communicator and have good workload management skills. RATE: NEGOTIABLE
