Description:

The successful candidate will posses practical experience in 1D hydraulic flood modelling such as ISIS and Hec-Ras and 2Dhydrodynamic modelling, e.g. Tuflow. Practical experience in the use of the Flood Estimation Handbook and producing floodrisk assessments with a detailed understanding of PPG25. Additionally you will you will have a thorough understanding ofconducting environmental impact assessments, design of SUDS, surface water drainage and balancing ponds for landdevelopment projects. Knowledge of current legislation and planning requirements, and understanding of the WaterFramework Directive, engineering of flood alleviation schemes and knowledge of various permanent and temporary barriers.Ideal candidates for the role will hold a relevant first degree, specifically in Civil Engineering or Geography, with arelevant Masters degree.
