No other independent Company can offer such a wide choice of solutions ranging from hydropneumatic systems to hydraulicrotary dampers.Whatever their clients' suspension requirement, our client will be able to provide a proven suspension solution to meettheir requirement.Reporting to the Managing Director this person will be responsible for the management and execution of all productengineering and development programmes.Our client is internationally recognised as a leading company in its core Vehicle Suspension (Mobility) business and isassociated with several major international programmes which are now in full rate production.By virtue of new strategic alliances and its growing reputation the business is poised to capitalise on this position,which will result in an increasing number of demanding new international programmes in the near future.The company has 9 current programmes, 7 strategically important new business opportunities, 15 other important potentialprogrammes and 7 identified PV development programmes.The business already employs a degree of programme management on its existing key programmes, which co-ordinates theactivities of the design, development and test functions within Engineering and interfaces and influences relatedmanufacturing activities within the Operations function.The extent, sophistication and importance of the potential new strategically important programmes is such that theexisting structure requires enhancing and strengthening in order to successfully execute the new opportunities.The importance attached to this position is indicated by the direct report to the M.D.The Task: To take responsibility for all product engineering and new business programmes. To drive the achievement of all the deliverables on these programmes by generation and clear definition of the requiredwork packages and timescales and mobilisation and direction of the appropriate internal and external resources. To introduce a step change in programme management culture, including the introduction of EVA.The establishment of the primacy of customer focused and goal orientated programme achievement will be an essential firststep.
