Application of Our Safety Management System in purchasing relationships.Qualifications Degree level or equivalent CIPS or some related and recognised professional qualificationKnowledgeWide commercial/ purchasing background and demonstratable experience of a wide form of contract types and of dealing witha foreign supplier base.ExperienceIdeally minimum 5 years experience operating at an equivalent level in a similar sized organisation dealing with avariety of complex capital equipment including building and civil contractingSkillsStrong negotiation and interpersonal skills together with the ability to make a positive contribution to multi-disiplinedintergrated project teams and to the business.BehavioursOperating within the company's standards relating to Security, Quality, Environment, Safety and Health is essential forall roles at the company.Key accountabilities Ensure that all work is carried out efficiently in accordance with Our Purchasing Procedures, Project Delivery Processand the company's policies for Safety, Quality and Security. For implimenting best practice procurement policy processes and procedures For procuring goods consistent with specification, programme and quality ensuring value for money For recommending the contract form and type including conditions of contract which best match business needs andminimise our exposure to commercial risk For ensuring the management and administration of the framework contracts in accordance with their terms and conditions Producing and implementing effective management and procurement plans Responding to customer feedback on performance matters Any other commercial duties as may be requested by Line Management
