: Important: Minimum of 5 yrs experience in an electronics & PCBA procurement role with the personality and charisma required to lead a procurement team. Opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious to join a leading international manufacturing organisation. Working as part of the PCBA team in the UK, the person will be responsible for: Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with our supply base Successful contract negotiation Identifying and implementing cost reduction programs Monthly vendor rating reviews Providing cost effective sourcing solutions Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure the lowest acquisition cost. Adopting best practices and processes for continuous improvement Demonstrate leading edge skills in handling Global sourcing by way of commodity management, supplier selection and development. In order to succeed the candidate will demonstrate a confident, dynamic and influential manner which will quickly enable them to gain the respect of both colleagues and suppliers. Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience within Procurement, preferably within an electronics & PCBA role. Knowledge of the marketplace and associated supply chain Knowledge of metrics & measurement systems and their efficient application A degree level qualification plus CIPS membership preferred Be prepared to travel at short notice, particularly to South East Asia
