: Senior Buyer Bedfordshire Construction/Social Housing The Client My client are a privately owned construction and property development company responsible for a diverse range of projects in both private and public sectors. They are one of the largest and most successful affordable housing providers in the UK. Over 30 years of specialisation in this market has equipped their business to successfully tackle any type of project from large multi-phase regeneration schemes to greenfield housing. The Role My client has a number of large projects coming up in the near future and is looking for a buyer to join their team in Bedfordshire. The role will entail involvement in a number of large scale projects in social housing and the successful candidate will be dealing mainly with the buying of materials, as opposed to sub contact labour, however experience in both would be an advantage. Although you will be working with others, a certain degree of self management will be required and the ability to work from your own initiative will be essential. You will also be expected to participate and provide input to cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of project procurement objectives. Experience in the construction or social housing industry is vital as my client is looking for someone who has trained in materials buying in a current or past role and is able to transfer these skills and apply them to this position.
