My client is the UK division of a GBP 500m+ international manufacturer of building products. In recent years they havesuccessfully positioned themselves as a market leader in building protection and roofing. Following a period ofrestructuring they now seek to appoint an up-and-coming but experienced Regional Sales Director/Regional Sales Managerwho can build on the organisations reputation for excellent service and product innovation.Role Develop the Sales and Marketing strategy in line with the business plan in order to enhance and develop relationshipsleading to improved sales Coach and train your team to work together and take responsibility for their area while cross-selling and promoting theentire product range to both existing and new customers. To lead, control and motivate your sales and marketing teams, identifying and applying relevant KPIs is in order tobuild a robust unit able to out-perform the marketRequirement Strong proven sales, marketing and management skills, ideally gained within the building materials sector. Knowledge ofspecifiers, contractors and merchants would be an advantage but is not essential. Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills are essential along with a strong personally andexceptional leadership skills. Strategically able to plan, creating a road map and vision but also tactically able to successfully deploy andcommunicate this to the business.Identifying the best person is the more important than product knowledge.
