Job Objectives:A hands-on role directly responsible for quality assurance and control in the Operations Group. SupportingPEM activities / document ownership.Driving the implementation of continuous improvement initiates within the Engineering departments. Ensure quality withinOperations group at respective locations. Ensuring provision of a Nominated Quality role for the Business Units. Skills:Degree Qualified / experienced engineer / Quality related qualification. Good working knowledge of PEM. Goodunderstanding of effective business processes. Effective working in a matrix organisation. Excellent written and verbal /presentation skills. Advanced IT skills. Detail orientated & with good analytical skills. Commercial Awareness. MakingEffective Decisions. Diplomatic & good negotiator / persuader. Challenges complacency and poor performance. Presenting.Planning and organising.Responsibilities: QA & Management SystemTrouble shooting local Quality problems. Ensuring Operations delivers as promised. Local PEM Champion for Operations.Ensure appropriate and up to date location specific standards and procedures in place for the operation. Facilitatedevelopment of location specification procedures and PEM documentation.Maintain and execute the operations location specific audit schedule. Execute audits in other departments, projects andbusiness units as required. Manage the work process for location specification audit and NCR cases and actions. Generaladministration and management of document databases, issue control and electronic delivery. Ensuring locationspecification operations procedures are up to date. Ensure operations and procedures are utilised. Ensuring quality inthe tendering phase of PEM. Driving Continuous Improvement. Implement the recommended or required actions into workprocesses from Lessons Learned, customer feedback (internal & external) and innovation / good ideas. Carry out requiredactivities associated with continuous improvement (e.g. Six Sigma) projects.Assist in conducting root cause analysis for key lessons / NCRs. Provide measurement indicators for the effectiveness ofCI initiatives. Monitor Operations performance associated with right first time and ensure error minimisation is managedeffectively. Supporting Engineering Department Quality Managers implement European wide initiatives at a local level.Supporting director Quality in managing local Quality resources as required. General Quality Reporting as required.Carrying out the following activities as requested by the Business Units (Responsibility for these activities will remainwith the business Units) Developing Quality Proposals. Project Execution oversight. Clients Satisfaction. ISO 9000accreditation support. Support BU processes.
