Description:

Our client is a leading, high-precision, electronics and electro-mechanical design and manufacture company.We are looking to maintain and improve our outstanding quality levels to enable us to continue to supply extremelyreliable products in high volumes to our competitive markets.This position will take the lead role in influencing product quality within the division. Candidates with a range ofexperience and seniority will be considered. Motivation, drive and the ability to work with production and developmentteams are essential.- report directly to divisional Director & General Manager- measure product quality levels and develop plans to maintain and improve them- work with Group Vendor Assurance to develop our VA programme and improve levels of component quality from suppliers- ensure designed-in quality on new product development programmes using FMEAs, process capability, quality charts etc- manage and assist with the divisions Six Sigma programme- knowledge of ISO9000:2000 and responsibility for compliance and internal audit programme- lead a team of quality inspection and investigation staff- applicants should demonstrate a proven track record in quality management of modern manufacturing and engineeringfunctions- knowledge of Six Sigma would be an advantage although full training to Green Belt level and beyond will be given ifrequired
