In the generation of the proposals and in contract negotiations.To ensure that I understand and apply my responsibilities with regard to the Company's Environment, Health, Safety,Security and Quality Standards.QualificationsA Business related Degree or equivalent type qualification would prove beneficial.Knowledge Working Knowledge of MoD contracting procedures and corporate requirements / contracting terms and conditions forcommercial work. Strong appreciation of project, process and risk management. Knowledge of business tools software currently in use. Up to date contractual / commercial knowledge.Experience Experience of working in a MoD contracting environment would be beneficial. Experience in managing negotiations involving a range of technical issues. Experience in financial management, commercial and/or contract work is essential.Skills The ability to manage negotiations involving a wide range of technical issues. Good negotiation skills with the ability to influence. Experience in financial management, commercial and/or contract work is essential. Customer Relationship Management, excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to make sounddecisions and to challenge are essential. Leadership and Project Management skills are also desirable. Well developed skills in the use of a variety of computerised business software to support business needs.Behaviours Expresses an independent opinion. Resilient to challenge, but capable of reaching a consensus. Recognises impact of their decisions on others.Key accountabilities Manage negotiations and contractural agreements with Customers that protect the company's business needs. Provide and disseminate company's Management and Operation (M&O) Contract information to company users and ensue fullunderstanding and compliance with the M&O contract. Support the review and production of top level commercial processes. Assist in the establishment and maintenance of an effective relationship with the MoD and other customers. Provide commercial support/advice to all our staff whilst ensuring that local processes, procedures and policy arecomplied with.
