The manager should be able to reposition the procurement team and service to identify further opportunities to create andquantify savings gained through best practice and champion procurement throughout the organisation.The role will have people management responsibility of managing and recruiting in a team and therefore demands anexperienced people manager.The key attributes required are excellent negotiating skills, a high level of systems literacy, natural leadership/influencing/ mentoring skills, tenacity, and a strong understanding of procurement best practice.
