Forward thinking and innovative, thecompany are one of the market leaders within the Automotivesector and provide excellent working conditions and careerprospects.As the indirect Commodity Buyer you will be responsible forthe management and development of commercial andcontractual relationships with a host of key Indirect Spendsuppliers.Specifically, you will have operational and strategicresponsibility for consumable items that are used to providesafe and efficient production processes.The role will encompass all elements of the procurementprocess including:-- Developing strategies for a range of interestingcommodities.- Identification and selection of potential suppliers.- Leading bid and tender projects for keycommodities.- Supporting contract negotiations with suppliers.- Account management of suppliers involvingsignificant interaction with engineers and other internalcustomers.- Producing summary reports, analysis andproposals for delivery to senior management.IDEAL PERSON:The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience within asimilar role in a high volume manufacturing environment.- CIPS qualification is preferred- either part/fullqualified.- Influential- Creative- Flexible- Capable of building strong relationships- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel,Powerpoint.DISCIPLINE:Supply Chain & ProcurementBENEFITS:Paid overtime, Pension, Healthcare, Relocation
