An opportunity for a Purchasing Co-ordinator to work for a well established company based in the central Maidstone. You will be supporting, and when necessary, deputise for the Procurement Manager with regards to the selection and management of suppliers and to ensure that Group Procedures in respect of Purchasing are adhered to.This will mean you assist in the provision of an effective purchasing department for all customers (internal and external). Your main roles will be to carry out strategic purchasing projects as directed by the Procurement Manager, with the aim of providing best vale for money and/or service, the placing of purchase orders for all company expenditure including,but not limited to,non-stock requisitions,stock items and finished goods, Ensuring that copies of all purchase orders are sent to other departments as appropriate. and progress chasing all outstanding orders with suppliers and internal customers. The right candidate for this role would be someone who can ensure that all their responsibilities are carried out in an accurate and timely manner, you maintain a working knowledge of all business related IT systems. You must have a positive attitude and be able to communicate with the Procurement Manager of any relevant issues in a timely manner.
