Description:

Our client is a supplier of consumer customer installed home entertainment products. Due to an increasing amount ofbusiness being carried out between the companys UK base and the Far East, they now have an urgent need for a PurchasingAssistant.Reporting to the Purchasing Manager as part of a small team, you will be responsible for sourcing both electroniccomponents and finished products from the Far East. The role will ideally be office based in the South East of Englandbut will include extensive travel between the UK and China; for that reason the person could be home based in the UK orbased in China but happy to travel.To be considered for this role, you should have a fluent understanding of a Chinese dialect (preferably Mandarin ofCantonese) and should posses any qualifications in engineering as you will need to have at least a basic understanding ofthe products you will be sourcing.This is an outstanding opportunity to join a hugely ambitious group who have activities taking place globally. Whilstthis role is by title a Purchasing Assistant, depending on experience, you will be working alongside as opposed tounderneath the current Purchasing Manager.
