Opus applies high quality objective resources and versatile facilities to investigate and provide solutions to enhance the production and environmental performance of their clients' production facilities. The successful applicant will take responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple projects from the tendering phase though to completion and installation, as well as providing a mechanical engineering function to the company. This stimulating and varied role will also involve assessment of clients requirements, creation of solution options, design briefs, functional descriptions, sourcing suppliers and preparation of cost estimates and control of budgets, liaison with suppliers, control of critical schedules and design activities and supervision of construction activities. You should hold a recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification with 3-4 years relevant experience managing projects of at least GBP 2MM value and with the ability to multi task, use initiative, and sometimes work under pressure to achieve deadlines. An additional qualification in a commercial field would be beneficial. You will be able to communicate effectively and work in an interactive team environment with all levels of staff and clients.
