Description:

Our client a large local authority on the South Coast is looking for an experienced Project Highway Engineer.As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for developing and delivering highway projects to programme and withinbudget. You will undertake feasibility studies and scheme preparation, directing the work of a team of engineers andtechnicians as necessary, and lead on public consultations, representing the Council at public meetingsWith Chartered Engineer status you should be educated to degree level in Civil Engineering (or equivalent). You shouldhave a minimum of 10 years# experience in the management, design and construction of highways. Experienced in staffsupervision, you will have the ability to lead, develop and motivate.Strongly self motivated, you will be able to work on your own initiative without close supervision as well as working aspart of the team and promoting team work. As a good communicator, both written and oral, you will be able to workeffectively up to senior management level.You should be able to meet the travel requirements for this role.Our client can offer an excellent salary, working conditions and other benefits.
