Description:

This world leading test and certification organisation is urgently seeking a Project Engineer to manage engineeringprojects relating to the assessment, testing and certification of equipment to be used in hazardous locations (e.g whereflammable gases, vapors, liquids or combustible dusts may be present).Under limited supervision, the successful applicant will be required to independently manage the execution and timelycompletion of engineering projects by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications, establishing testprograms for product investigations, and preparing reports for clients. You will be participating in the development ofCompany requirements, test methods, and test equipment; exercising Project Handler Signature Authority as Project Handlerof record responsible for opening, maintenance, completion, and closing of assigned new work engineering projects; mayexercise Review Signature Authority as assigned as Reviewer of record responsible for initial review, status review, andfinal technical review of all new work engineering projects.The Job will be based in the Chester area, and may require some international travel.To be considered for this position you will need to be a Senior Engineer with several years experience within some or allof the following categories: Flameproof, Electrical and Protection, Increased safety, Intrinsic safety, Purge, Type N,,Atex Directive, IECex. Exposure and experience with Class/Div and Zone scheme in the USA.Experience with UL1203 and UL1604 and NEC500, 501,502,503,504,505Ideally you will have previous experience in evaluation, planning a testing regime, testing, and report writing leadingto certification..
