Vacancy:Project Configuration ManagerStatus:PermanentSalary:Dependent on ExperienceRef:651077Area:BerkshireDisciplineEngineering DesignImplementation and maintenance of a Configuration Management systemResponsibilities Reporting to the Company Product Configuration Manager and supporting his role in the provision of a CM system coveringproduct and design manufacture throughout the company Provide a CM system that satisfies the requirements laid down in the Company Standard for CM (based on BS ISO10007:2003) whilst ensuring all customers requirements are maintained Author a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) that ensures the CM system provides Product Identification for allConfigured Items, Change Control and traceability of hardware whilst utilizing modern working practices that includeUnigraphics Teamcenter functionality. The CMP will also document / identify verification activities including any review/ audit requirementsOther duties in support of above will include: Manage a secretariat for a Change Control Board (CCB); assessment of modification submissions, attendance at Technical/ Design Reviews and provision of all services associated with operation of a CCB including interface with customer To manage the development and maintenance of associated CM databasesProvide guidance on project CM issues To ensure responsibilities are understood and applied with regards to the Companys Environment, Health, Safety,Security and Quality Standards To safeguard Company information and assets from unauthorised access or disclosure, reporting security breaches andapply security at all timesQualifications HND / HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering with a Engineering Apprenticeship orrecognised formal training in engineering Incorporate Membership of an appropriate Institution is desirableKnowledge International, Defence and Company configuration procedures i.e. BS ISO 10007 and Def Stan 05-57 Product definition (drawing) standards UK Health and Safety Legislation Quality Standards and ProceduresExperienceProven track record in product design.
