Promote Engineering excellence throughout the company group and its customer base helping to generate new businessopportunitiesEffective control of the timing plan and its deliverablesPlan and manage the project delivery process for a number of projects of varying sizePrepare project plans documenting the project delivery strategy and success criteriaEstablish a quality plan and be proactive in planning for qualityDesign project organisation structure, define team member's roles and assign individual responsibilitiesMonitor and appraise to assure project success. Purvey a 'preventative rather than corrective' cultureImplement strict project and financial controls to ensure successDevelop a risk management strategy for the project(s) and implement associated processes and toolsEnsure effective identification, monitoring and management of project resource constraints and timing risksDefine the overall commissioning and handover strategy to ensure a timely and complete handoverQualifications:Engineering degree or equivalent desirableBackground of managing all aspects of large and medium sized capital equipment projectsSound technical expertise and a proven track record in project engineering over a significant period particularly in theautomotive industryKnowledge of standard techniques within the automotive environment including Lean Manufacture, FMEA, SPC, 8D Problemsolving techniques,Machining programming experience and an appreciation of component assemblyKnowledge of machining aluminium and cast iron componentsExcellent communication skills required and ability to communicate at all levelsWill be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership skills
