My clients business was founded in London in 1982 by the current Managing Director, as an offshoot of the family businessspecialising in custom upholstery which was itself founded in 1946. My clients first activity was the upholstery,assembly and distribution of portable seating systems for multi-purpose venues. This activity still plays an importantrole for the company today. In 1989 my client began to distribute Italian designed furniture for the restaurant,hospitality and contract markets and soon became a leading player in the UK contract furniture market. In 1990 they setup a sister company in Atlanta to service the US contract furniture market.This continued success has led them to require an experienced Production/Warehouse Manager who is able to demonstrate keystrengths in both areas of operation and take a firm but fair approach to get the job done.You will be a natural forward planner who constantly strives for improvement who can facilitate change. Your backgroundwill ideally have diverse product knowledge.The requirements of the role will be to ensure production, planning and expediting is running to maximum efficiency priorto orders being dispatched. Shipments are made weekly to the US and virtually daily to the UK, it will be your job towork closely with the Operations Manager and have a can do attitude. As part of your responsibility you will berequired to look after their second location in Bedfordshire and their production arm in Wales.This is a fabulous opportunity for the right person.
