Oct 26th, 2005Production ManagerAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager to join a world leading,manufacturer of state of the art consoles, workstations and outboard equipment.Working directly under the Managing Director, this role is responsible for the low volume production of complex SurfaceMount Electronics and sub assemblies for a range of music and broadcast equipment.RoleManaging a small team of staff across assembly, inspection, stores disciplines, you will be responsible for thescheduling and planning of work, production and delivery of products.As part of your role you will be responsible for the maintenance of machinery and equipment, optimization of stock levelsand to ensure that the company adopts efficient and effective processes throughout the production life cycle.Essential requirements Minimum of 3 years in Production Management within a low volume electronics assembly environment. (SME, PCBs, Racksetc) Min HNC Electronics qualification Multi change over / batch production of SME products Excellent planning and scheduling skills Previous management of machinery maintenance Hands on machinery capability Experience of JIT productionDesirable experience Experience of High reliability complex electronics Lean Manufacturing knowledge Use of MRP Change Management and good motivational skills Proven track record in cost reduction and general commercial awareness Optimisation of stock levels and inventorySalary up to GBP 35k + performance related bonus
