The CompanyThe company specialises in the design and manufacture of large bespoke pumps and electric motors for the power, oil & gasand defence industries.The RoleAs Production Engineer the applicant would be expected to:Structure and plan new assemblies on a MRP based system.Maintain and improve component manufacturing methodsThe creation of CNC programs for both CNC milling and turning centresDesign of all tooling to support the selected manufacturing methodsLiaison with Design Engineering function to secure cost reduction in overall component manufactureResolution of day to day shop problemsCapabilities, experience and educationThe applicant would be expected to have the following capabilities and education:Ideally apprenticeship trained with a minimum of five years experience in a Production Engineering role.Fully conversant with all aspects of machining, fitting and welding.Educated to a minimum of HNC preferable in mechanical engineering.Knowledge and experience in any of the following areas would also be advantageous:Electric motorsPumpsRotating equipmentRemuneration PackagePackage will include the following elements:Competitive Salary dependant on experience37 hour working week25 days annual holidayCompany Pension schemeThis role requires a strong personality with an eye for the detail aspects of manufacturing who will be able operate in abusy environment.
