A very successful and rapidly growing software house requires a Product Testing Manager to control the strategic direction of the enterprise data warehouse product. The role will be responsible for the line management of a team of 7+ testers, ensuring that the key stockholders are consulted regarding areas to test, priority and degree of coverage.The role will involve managing Testing as part of the software development lifecycle, developing release test plans for each major and point release. Deciding which areas to test manually and which areas to automate. As well as running the test department you will be required to mentor the graduate developers to ensure their progression from academic development to product quality development.The successful applicant will have a strong academic background with an excellent analytical brain. The job holder will have genuine enthusiasm for the whole software development and release lifecycle. A background within software development is a pre-requisite, hands on experience of .NET (VB.NET, C#) and DBMS platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) is essential.
