Key Objectives:The Producer will be a team player with a combination of superlative editorial skills and technical savvy, and will becomfortable making pressurised editorial judgements and troubleshooting XML.The Producer will have an eye for video, an ear for audio and an ear for captioning and copywriting and the ability todistinguish between strong and weak ideas and copy.Responsibilities:Work on a rota system, in a shift pattern, which includes early mornings, late evenings and weekends and perform anyother duties as required by the Head of Editorial.Ensure information of content and whereabouts are always updated and current.Maintain in-house library.Maintain the 3 Editorial Style guide and act as Duty Editorial contact, co-ordinating the fault management process.Sub-edit and quality assure content.Oversee the trafficking of material to the PF where appropriate.Operational Experience:Some working knowledge and/or experience of Producing - Essential.Experience of working in an editorial capacity, preferably broadcast and new media - Essential.Proficient in WORD 2000, Photoshop, Excel and Outlook - Essential.Expert knowledge of broadcast and telecom regulations - Essential.Personal Characteristics:Organisational and prioritisation skills - Essential.Confident telephone manner and good interpersonal skills - Essential.Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels and be a good team player - Essential.Work well under pressure and meet deadlines - Essential.Be adaptable and extremely flexible - Essential.Have initiative and be willing to learn - Essential.Academic Background:A journalism qualification/experience - Desirable.A broadcasting background and an understanding of 3G technology - Desirable.Company Overview:As an organisation, 3 are growing at a truly phenomenal rate.
