Description:

Accountabilities: * To lead and advise the Council on all aspects of category procurement for the following categories: Facilities Management, IT, Corporate * Assess, report and recommend options within the designated category portfolio * Lead and take overall responsibility for the development and enablement of sourcing strategy and implementation plan for the designated category * Lead and facilitate cross functional and cross business project teams * Establish professional relationships with suppliers to ensure that meeting the business needs are of paramount importance to key suppliers Experience required: * Experience of designated procurement category portfolio * Practical evidence of commercial contract creation (eg KPI/SLA's) * Practical evidence of delivering change and managing BPR projects * Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply * Project Management training This role would be working for a new team, which is being set up, and you would have the opportunity to contribute to some drastic changes within the borough.
