Products range from photo-papers, thermal ribbons through to dye sub printers. the customer baseincludes OEMs’ distributors and systems integrators in the UK and overseas, operating in the photographic, printingand business imaging industries.Realised and projected rapid growth in volumes through our client's dye sublimation ribbon gravure printing plant, haveincreased our need to drive improvements in process capability, capacity and machine OEE. In order to meet thesechallengesour client is creating a new role which will be focussed on leading and delivering improvements in this areaand helping to lay the foundations to enable further substantial increase in ribbon coating capacity on site.The work is carried out in a fast moving and pressured environment, where quality standards are exceptionally high.Candidates will be a graduates in an engineering or science discipline, and with several years experience, and strongtrack record of delivery, in a process development or process improvement role within coating/printing industries.Candidates will have a good understanding of SPC 6 sigma and lean manufacturing techniques, and will have a resultsorientated and hands on approach to problem solving. They will need to be able to appreciate the technical, equipment andproduction issues contributing to process robustness, and drive through improvements identified through their owninitiatives and through working with other technical and operations staff.Our client is primarily looking for an enthusiastic and experienced engineer, who can demonstrate a genuine interest insolving process related problems, and who is keen to make a rapid impact on the process capability of ribbon coatingprocess.
