Our Client, an offshore oil and gas contractor, is seeking a High Level office based Principal Instrument Engineer tojoin their team.Experience:Should have 10 years experience of which at least 3 should be at a senior/lead/principal level.Ideally should be experienced in running a small team of engineers and designers.Should have good knowledge of instrument system modifications and enhancements but should also have experience inhandling field instruments as well.Experience of the following systems is required as these are currently used - Transmitton Cromos SCADA Silvertech AllenBradley SCS Silvertech Hima F&G system ICS Regent Plus+ ESD and F&G systems.Job Scope:Coordination role to give priorities and ensure that work is completed on time. Planning activities that generally feedinto the clients work plans. Document control activities checking and issuing of documents to client site and systemvendors.The project is generally involved in instrument system modifications and enhancements.The successful candidate should be prepared to go to FAT's and work at site for implementation of modpacks etc. Annualshutdown work minimum 2 week 7 days/week. Shutdown maybe as early as May or June 2006.Duration: approximately 9 months but could well go on for considerably longer.Rate: GBP 37 ph Ltd Co.
