Description:

The role will involve responsibility for managing and growing a team of ecologists as well as developing the range ofservices and workload of the team. Specific duties will include carrying out project work including desk studies,consultations and field work along with the production of project reports. By working alongside environmental colleaguesand liaising extensively with clients, the successful candidate will play an important part in the delivery of acomprehensive, integrated service.Applicants must have at least a first degree in Ecology or a closely related subject and have membership of the IEEM. Aminimum of 4 years previous experience of general field ecology is required, which should have involved EIA andmitigation methodologies along with relevant experience in terrestrial and aquatic/riparian habitats. A proven ability tolead and manage a team is essential as is proven protected species expertise and ideally at least one license.
