Our Client, an international oil/gas design and construction Contractor, is URGENTLY seeking two Principal Cost Engineersto join their team.Experience/Qualifications:Should be able to self manage.15 years (8 years in a supervisory capacity) experience in cost engineering major EPC projects. A significant part ofthis experience should have been gained on job sites (field) assignments.Whilst an Engineering degree qualification is desirable HND/HNC is acceptable.Job requires considerable evaluate judgement and a high level of technical competence in Cost Engineering. Logiccreativity and innovation skills are desirable for the development of new cost control tools and methodologies. A highdegree of computer literacy is essential.On major projects the Principal Cost Engineer supervises the work of assigned cost engineers and technicians.Job Scope:To provide a reliable and responsive project cost control service on assigned proejcts or proposals that is consistentwith project or proposal plans. Provide the technical leadership and direction required to ensure effective cost controlthroughout all phases of a project.When assigned to a project team as the lead cost engineer represents and acts on behalf of the Chief Cost Engineer tosupport the company's requirements for an integrated Project Control System.Prepare project cost control plans.Help establish job-specific code of accounts.Help direct the preparation and maintenance of Project Control and check Estimates.Prepare review and issue overall client management cost reports.Establish and maintain change control systems.Lead the project cost monitoring analysis and forecasting fucntions.Prepare cashflows and currency distribution forecasts.Duration: circa 7 months with start asapRate: GBP 25 to GBP 35 per hour Ltd Company but may be slightly negotiable
