Presales Business Consultant - Job SpecificationA key role within the organisation, supporting and contributing to sales opportunities for new and existing customersthrough the provision of enterprise Financial applications, eProcurement, HR & Payroll and business intelligence softwaresolutions.Reporting to the Presales Manager the consultant has prime responsibility for:" Specialisation in the Financial applications and associated product areas to provide departmental and organisationalexpertise, knowledge and development." Supporting sales opportunities in conjunction with the business account manager." Contributing to opportunities being managed by other consultants." The provision of product presentations to support solution requirements." Contribute to document responses through definition of product functionality to match organisational software solutionrequirements." Feedback to product development from views expressed through execution of the role." Other duties as deemed necessary by the Presales Manager.Essential skills" A strong understanding of Financial applications; financial business practice and requirements.." A high level of presentation skills - both oral and written." Previous customer facing experience.." Relevant sector knowledge to support clients sales strategy." Team player - function effectively within a team either as a lead or contributor." Self starter - able to work on their own when required" Time management - able to prioritise time to meet the requirements of the organisation." Communication skills - both external and internal." PC and MS skills and experience.Desirable skills" Previous presales experience." Experience of software procurement and implementation projects" IT systems technical and infrastructure appreciation - Oracle, Sequel Server, networking, product development, productintegration and workflow." Business intelligence experience - Business Objects, Cognos, XL Reporter." Experience of working with and presenting business cases to senior management and directors." Situated in close proximity to the Cobham or Daventry offices |
