: An excellent opportunity exists for you to join a company that is at the forefront of the renewable energy market with one of the largest and most diverse portfolios of plant in the UK. In 2003 they generated approximately 12.5% of the UK's Renewables Obligation electricity and with their unparalleled Biomass experience they continue to set the standard. They are currently seeking a Station Manager who would take responsibility for ensuring that the power station operates at optimum output and efficiency, while also achieving its safe and profitable operation. Degree qualified or equivalent, you should have a proven successful background in managing a process/ manufacturing site where equipment availability and maintenance is as important as plant efficiency. You should also have good cost reduction skills developed in a commercial environment. You will be responsible for the management of the station including aspects of operation and maintenance from fuel supply to electricity export. This role will involve management of the entire station operations, including plant operations in line with statutory requirements and best practice. You will be communicating with the Environmental Agency and should be able to maintain a good public relations and local community relations. This is both a hands on and people management role. You will also be involved in staff training and development as well as recruitment.
