Description:

Our client seeks a Packaging Engineer to enable introduction of GaAs MMIC products for internal customers/merchant market, in the frequency range 1-40 GHz. You will provide expertise in package design/assembly. Qualified to PhD, MPhil / BEng (Class 2.1) in a relevant subject, you will have 2+ years experience in electronic package design for volume manufacturing, High frequency electronic Package design including mechanical and physical layout. Also an understanding of electrical and thermal constraints of various packaging approaches and materials. Experience of microwave assembly and/or ceramic/plastic assembly. ROLE: Package design including consideration of thermal, mechanical and electrical requirements for new products; Generate relevant assembly/manufacturing documentation; Assist in the assessment of assembly and packaging subcontractors; Recommend new packaging technologies; Assess new builds.
