Description:

My client requires a Oracle / Unix Specialist to join a team of professionals involved with all aspects of Oracle DBA and Support, Unix Admin and Support, Pre Sales and Consultancy. Reporting to the Section Team Leader, this role encompasses many roles from pre sales support, solution design, service delivery and capacity planning. Although this role is primarily based in-house, there may be travel to client site in London on an ad hoc basis (expenses paid). The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of Unix Technologies (Any of - Solaris, Linux, Aix, HP-UX), Oracle DBA and / or support experiece, Shell programming / scripting skills, Server installation experience, good TCP/IP knowledge and experience with system and network security. Firewall and Web Server configuration experience is also desirable. There is an on-call requirement of 1 week in 4, which works out on average at GBP 4k+ per year although with call-outs this could rise.
