Our Clients distribution centres are intensive 24 hour 7 days per week operations, combining leading edge technology anda challenging agenda to ensure continuous improvement to deliver excellent service to its stores.To enable our Clients distribution centre staff to give our Client their best they need an Operations Support Manager attheir fresh and chilled foods distribution centre in South Yorkshire, willing to lead by example.Reporting into the Distribution Centre General Manager, the role is to lead a motivated planning and performance andadministrative support team so that an effective planning and support service is provided to the senior management teamresulting in a well-planned and efficient distribution centre operation. The primary focus is the financial performanceof the DC in terms of providing and analysis of KPIs.You will also play a vital part in the distribution centre operation in the achievement of balanced targets in the areasof people, operations, customers and finance.Skills:You will need to demonstrate the ability to translate our Clients vision into how you and your team operate daily, aswell as a hands on approach to succeed in a demanding environment.Candidates must have substantial budgetary and financial abilities, gained within a DC environment and will ideally be aqualified or part qualified accountant, enabling you to liaise with the Distribution Accountant effectively whendeveloping and producing robust budgets and the weekly profit and loss accounts.Also essential are IT and resource planning experience, ideally gained in a DC environment.A good understanding of Health and Safety and Security issues with excellent inter-personal and communication skillscoupled with influencing skills are essential as is the ability to lead and inspire your team.As an experienced leader of people you will have the proactive ability to challenge existing practices and drive throughchange to benefit the business.If you want to grow both yourself and those around you, then by joining our Client you will receive quality training anddevelopment, together with excellent career prospects.The salary range is GBP 30000 - 41000.
