Long-standing successful multinational company is making waves in the VOIP space with a product which is working and being bought. Not all are! They are developing their NGN convergence platform and this company area is seeing strong growth.Assist in ensuring the companies NGN expansion plans are backed up by the proper support function.Specify and design multimedia convergence systems based upon a successful product family. Assist in customer facing roles in presales (as tech skillbase, no selling involved). Give 3rd/4th level support to Support Function. Peers are Cisco/Juniper engineers, convergence, and optical engineers.Skills/aptitudes required:Ideal:Media Gateway, Ethernet switching, softswitch technology, SIP servers,unified ip services, VOIP communication protocols e.g. MGCP, H248, SIP, management platforms, unix admin/script, windows, 3 years plus customer support, smart appearance, proactive, good communication skills/consultancy approach, teamplayer.Advantageous:from service provider/enterprise background, relevant training, Opportunities:New business area offering significant growth potential.
