Role: UK Sales DirectorPosition Purpose: - The Sales Director is responsible for the sale of the organization's products in the UK. This individual will be involved in the development of relationships, scheduling of appearances, and the building of rapport with potential clientsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide high-level direct client contact with advertising agencies.- Maintain ongoing relationships with potential clients.- Give formalized presentations using latest technology to small or large groups.- Prepare proposals for advertising budgets of FTSE/Forbes 500 companies.- Manage a team of sales managers, account executives and account managers.- Negotiate advertising rates and campaign placement on Company network.- Supervise proper delivery of advertising campaigns in accordance with goals and objectives of the client.- Check on competitive activity and develop new methods of attaining accounts.- Troubleshoot problems regarding products provided and answer questions from clients and client complaints.- Perform other job-related duties and activities as requested.Skills:- Thorough knowledge of sales and advertising/internet media.- Ability to work in a highly competitive sales environment.- Thorough knowledge of PC applications and Internet.- Strong problem solving and negotiation skills.- Excellent formal presentation skills and management of large territories and diverse product offerings.- A demonstrated ability to keep above new technology.- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external clients, or customers.- Ability to maintain own work flow and meet deadlines.- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.- Ability to possess strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written), and customer service skills, and exchange information with others clearly and concisely.- Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy are paramount.- Ability to deal with constant or frequent pressure to meet pre-established deadlines.- Ability to respond to frequent demands of multiple customers (internal and external).- Ability to meet attendance standards and work long hours when necessary.- Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as part of a work team.- Ability to work with minimal supervision.Desired Characteristics:- Win-win sales philosophy.- Experience in Strategic Selling principles.- Knowledge and contacts within the UK interactive marketplace, both agency and direct.Education / Experience:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, OR- 8-10 years sales experience and 2-4 years advertising/internet media experience preferred, 2-4 years sales management experience preferred.- Or relevant combination of education and experience.Salary and package will be EXTREMELY attractive.
