Key Objectives:UMTS Radio Access Network planning.UMTS Core Network access planning.Responsibilities:Technical review, approval of design drawings and ICNIRP compliance certification.Radio communications Agency (RA) license application and/or leased line provisioning/ordering.Circuiting through PDH/SDH & ATM networks.Pre-live planning activities; including coverage predication, neighbour list planning, coverage/interference analysis,traffic simulation and capacity analysis.Post-live site performance verification activity using scanning equipment and post processing tool in order to validatecoverage, identify rigging errors and performance issues.Regular and accurate data input and maintenance of corporate databases.Work as an integral part of the rollout group within a multi-disciplined, cross-functional planning team.Act as technical point of contact for radio and transmission queries or issues within sub regional team.Operational Experience:2- 3 years rollout experience with UMTS/GSM operator - Essential.2-3 years UMTS/GSM radio network planning and/or optimisation - Essential.2-3 years Core Network access transmission system planning - Desirable.PDH/SDH and/or ATM network circuiting - Desirable.Personal Characteristics:Adaptable and flexible.Good at prioritising tasks and able to function well in a dynamic and challenging environment - Essential.Team player, able to work within a multi-disciplined team and matrix management organisation - Essential.Self motivated, able to work on own initiative.
