PERMANENT VACANCYJOB TITLE: MICROWAVE TEST ENGINEERLOCATION: HERTFORDSHIRESALARY: around GBP 20K dependent on age, experience etc.The Test Department is responsible for testing all modules manufactured in house and subcontract to Test Specificationsfor the various product ranges within the Company.The various modules combine to make a complete Microwave Link which will then require complete link acceptance testingacross our range site.The engineer must be able to work with the minimum of supervision and work as a team member of a group of youngengineers.Duties include:Module TestingModule Set UpSub system testComplete system range testEnvironmental TestingFault finding to component level at all stages of testingSite investigation and repair of equipment, as requiredExperience Required:Previous position held in a production test environment(* must have STRIPLINE experience)Understanding of microwave circuits, to be able to test/fault find and tune modules within the frequency range 1 to 40GHz including microstrip tuningBe able to use Spectrum analysersNetwork analysersOscilloscopes etcKnowledge of standard telemetry protocols an advantage, but not essentialEducation HNC or equivalent in electronic engineeringWe would expect that candidates should have a least 5 years experience.
